FIELD: medicine; oncology; urology; radiation diagnostics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess the risk of kidney tumor malignancy. A 3D model of a kidney with a neoplasm is constructed based on images of multispiral computed tomography with contrast enhancement obtained in native, arterial, venous and excretory phases. An analysis of the constructed 3D model is performed, followed by calculation, based on the obtained coefficient p characterizing the probability of a malignant nature of the kidney tumor, according to a given formula, with further determination of the form of kidney formation. If the obtained value is p<0.5 the risk of a malignant neoplasm of the kidney is assessed as low. If the obtained value is 0.5≤p≤1 the risk of a malignant neoplasm of the kidney is assessed as high.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the accuracy of detection of the malignant nature of the tumor process in the kidney by non-invasive instrumental research by assessing the totality of the most significant indicators.
