SUBSTANCE: method and system for laser cutting of a component and a method for manufacturing an integral side panel for a vehicle door frame. The laser cutting system comprises the first laser machine, the second laser machine, a transport system, and a housing for accommodating the first laser machine, the second laser machine, and the transportation system. The method of laser cutting consists in loading a component from the loading zone into the first laser machine. The first laser machine contains the first fixture and the first set of multi-axis robots containing a laser cutting head. Cutting of the first plurality of component regions is performed by the laser cutting heads of the first plurality of multi-axis robots while the component is held in the first jig. The component is transported from the first laser machine to the second laser machine. The second laser machine contains the second fixture and the second set of multi-axis robots containing a laser cutting head. Cutting of the second plurality of component regions is performed by the laser cutting heads of the second plurality of multi-axis robots while the component is positioned on the second jig. The component is unloaded from the second laser machine to the unloading area. Manufacture of a one-piece side panel for a vehicle door frame involves hot forging or cold forging a component.
EFFECT: reduction of component cutting time, reduction of the ratio between stamping time and component cutting time, as well as possibility of reducing the production area to accommodate laser cutting machines and storage areas is achieved.
