FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport machine building. Structural part of cargo compartment comprises main panel including lower section and upper section protruding perpendicularly from it, and wheel casing. Main panel and the wheel casing are made of two separate three-dimensional parts, their different materials and welded to each other. Wheel casing material has higher mechanical strength than material of the main panel. Cargo compartment of pickup truck comprises side inner panel of body, which is said structural part. Proposed method comprises the following stages: - blank is forged from first material to mold main panel; - workpiece is stamped from second material to mold wheel casing; - main panel is welded to wheel protective casing.
EFFECT: reduced weight and high strength of structural part of cargo compartment of vehicle.
