SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thesensors designed to analyse the composition of gaseous media. A photoexcited waveguide laser sensor for determining the presence of oxygen in a gaseous medium includes a pump source, a transparent substrate, a thin-film laser-active medium, which is a film of polymethyl methacrylate doped with a laser-active chemical substance bis(1,2,3,7,9-pentamethyl-dipyrrolylmethene -8-yl)methane, sensitive to oxygen, upon interaction with which the intensity of laser generation in a laser-active thin-film waveguide increases, an additional layer is located between the laser-active medium and a transparent substrate, which provides a waveguide mode of propagation of generation radiation and adhesion of polymethyl methacrylate to a transparent substrate.

EFFECT: creation of a thin-film sensitive sensor for determining the presence of oxygen.
