FIELD: quantum electronics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of quantum electronics and photonics and can be used in quantum information technologies and integrated photonics to generate laser radiation in the red part of the visible spectrum. The claimed invention contains an optical pumping source and a laser-active element in the form of a diamond sample with a high concentration of substitutive nitrogen and with a 1-2 order of magnitude lower concentration of NV centers, which has metallization on one or two opposite plane-parallel faces located either at right angles, or at Brewster’s angle, or at another angle to the optical axis of a laser-active element characterized by amplification or generation of laser radiation in the spectral range of the phonon wing of the luminescence of NV centers in the negative charge state.

EFFECT: invention can be used as a source of superluminescence (enhanced spontaneous radiation) or as a source of laser radiation.
