FIELD: arc welding.
SUBSTANCE: device for feeding the wire into the welding device comprises an outer casing and an inner casing, which form an intermediate space between the outer and inner casings. The inner housing houses the components of the wire feed mechanism. A part of one of the components, in particular a part of the current-carrying bar, is placed in the intermediate space. Openings in the inner and outer housings of the device provide a closed loop airflow to circulate air through the intermediate space. The device is equipped with a power connector for incoming power cables.
EFFECT: cooling to the components of the wire feeder, as well as a reduction in the weight of the wire feeder, while having the structural rigidity required for the wire feeder.
