FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves short-term alternate switching on of each lamp in a group at a certain time interval according to a group command transmitted simultaneously to all the lamps. The time interval for turning each lamp on is determined by its serial number in the group, and the value of power consumption measured on the power supply line or its absence in this interval will inform about performance of a particular lamp and its current power level.
EFFECT: ability to obtain diagnostic data on operation of each lamp using a group control method.
