FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for optimization of outdoor lighting of settlements, motor roads, industrial territories and other objects of transport infrastructure. In the method of group control of lighting devices in an external lighting control system, comprising a control object and lighting devices as control objects, with the transmission of control commands along the power transmission line, the novelty is that control is carried out using a set of commands, differing by sequence of intervals of switching on and off of power supply line, transmitted in the daytime with storage of received commands in non-volatile memory of connected lighting devices, wherein time intervals for switching on and off are many times greater than the period of the network frequency.
EFFECT: high reliability of group control of lighting devices along a power transmission line.
