FIELD: machine diagnostics.
SUBSTANCE: testing and technical diagnostics of machines. The method for determining the effective power of an internal combustion engine is that when testing under operating conditions, a machine is prepared with a manual gearbox and a gear shift system without interrupting the power flow. Force transducers (1) are installed in the engine mounts, a crankshaft speed sensor (2) is mounted in the flywheel housing, to which a measuring device (3) is attached. Warm up the engine with the gearbox and drive axles to the rated temperature. When testing under operating conditions, turn on the first gear and start moving. Set the maximum speed of the crankshaft with the maximum fuel supply to the engine. It is loaded by the resistance forces of the aggregated machine until the crankshaft speed is reduced by at least 1/20 of the maximum value. An engine test mode is disclosed, in which the instantaneous values of the crankshaft speed and engine support reactions are recorded. According to the reaction values of the engine mounts for each measurement moment, the reactive torque on each support and the total reactive torque on the engine mounts relative to the axis of rotation of the crankshaft are sequentially calculated, the effective power of the engine, taking into account the values of the crankshaft speed at the corresponding measurement moment, and the average value of the effective power engine for the entire measurement period, which is taken as the rated effective power of the engine under study.
EFFECT: reduced complexity and increased efficiency of measurements.
