FIELD: machine testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of testing and technical diagnostics of machines, in particular to a method of determining the technical condition of the cylinder-piston group (CPG) of an internal combustion engine (ICE). Based on the measurement results, an individual dependence of the change in the average maximum strut forces from the air pressure at the end of the each cylinder’s compression stroke is built, and the assessment of the technical condition of the cylinder-piston group of the internal combustion engine under operating conditions is made by the air pressure at the end of a compression stroke of each cylinder determined based on the dependence obtained in the preliminary test in accordance with the average maximum values of the strut forces generated by each cylinder for at least five engine operating cycles.
EFFECT: technical result is perfecting the method of assessing a technical condition of the cylinder-piston group of an internal combustion engine through reduced labor intensity and improved diagnosis efficiency.
