SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for segment authentication in a mobile telephone network. The WTRU, during the registration procedure using the network access and mobility management functional unit (AMF), performs initial authentication of the WTRU, and during the registration procedure, the WTRU receives from the AMF a message indicating the success of registration, including at least one of the following indications: at least one network segment-specific authentication and authorization for access to the segment (SSSA), a procedure that occurs after the registration procedure, a list of segments to which the WTRU is allowed access, and a list of segments to which the WTRU requires an SSSA and performs after successful registration of at least one SSSA WTRU to access the first network segment.

EFFECT: increased security of access to the mobile telephone network segment.
