FIELD: polymers.
SUBSTANCE: present invention is related to a polymer composition based on polyolefins with antimicrobial properties and biodegradability, which are used to obtain packaging material in form of polyethylene film. Concentrated polymer composition (granular master batch) with antimicrobial properties and biodegradability contains the following components, wt.%: zinc pyrithione - 10-15; starch - 10-15; polyethylene glycol - 10-15; polyolefins - the rest up to 100%. High-density polyethylene and low-density polyethylene are used as polyolefins. Zinc pyrithione is used as an active antimicrobial component.
EFFECT: creation of a polymer film material with addition of a master batch for manufacturing of products with the necessary and sufficient antimicrobial and anti-yeast activity to increase the shelf life of food products by 2 or more times, with an increased ability, after the practical use of polymer materials, to biodegrade during disposal.
