METHOD OF PRODUCING BIODEGRADABLE COMPOSITE MATERIAL WITH BACTERICIDAL PROPERTIES BASED ON MODIFIED STARCH AND POLYHEXAMETHYLENE GUANIDINE CHLORIDE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC C08B30/00 C07C279/00 C08L3/00

Abstract RU 2822033 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a biodegradable composite material and can be used as an environmentally safe package capable of increasing the shelf life of food products. Method of producing biodegradable composite material with bactericidal properties based on modified starch and polyhexamethylene guanidine chloride involves mixing plasticized solutions of modified starch and polyhexamethylene guanidine chloride on a magnetic mixer for 5–10 minutes at temperature of 50–60 °C. Then, composite film materials based on modified starch and polyhexamethylene guanidine chloride are obtained by pouring from a solution onto a lavsan/Teflon substrate. Thereafter, the coating is placed horizontally on a filling machine of Xiamen TMAX-CN, the obtained composite film materials are dried at temperature of 40–60 °C until complete evaporation of liquid phase. Composite film materials are then separated from the working surface by peeling by two near edges of the films.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining a composite material based on modified starch and polyhexamethylene guanidine chloride, which is homogeneous in structure, retains its properties during operation and is capable of rapid biodegradation in the natural environment, which can be used as a packaging material, which increases the shelf life of food products due to the material having bactericidal properties.
