FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a biodegradable polymer composition with antimicrobial properties based on polyolefins. Composition contains birch extract 8–12 wt %, starch 10–60 wt %, heat stabilizer 0.5–1.0 wt % and polyolefins up to 100 wt %. Birch bark extract contains betulinol (betulin) C36H60O3 not less than 80 wt %. Polyolefins used are low-pressure polyethylene and/or high-pressure polyethylene and/or polypropylene. Heat stabilizer used is irganox 1010 or arggaphos.

EFFECT: technical result is providing high capacity of the polymer material for biodegradation, providing the required and sufficient antimicrobial and antivibrant activity of the polymer composition when making the packaging material, reliable preservation of dry food products during storage, provision of the required biodegradability during utilization after practical use.
