SUBSTANCE: polymer composition for surgical bone cement is proposed, containing a powder component consisting of a suspension of polymethyl methacrylate, barium sulfate, benzoyl peroxide and chromium (III) oxide, and a liquid component of methyl methacrylate, a polymerization accelerator N,N-dimethyl-p-toluidine and a polymerization inhibitor hydroquinone, and the ratio between the liquid and powder components is 1:2 by weight. The proposed composition has an extended working phase of up to 5 minutes, a comfortable polymerization temperature of 39-40°C while maintaining the plasticity of the cement mass throughout the entire cementing phase.
EFFECT: composition is colored green to effectively remove bone cement residues from the surface of the patient's bone.
