SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for isolating a linear hydrocarbon containing a double bond, in which each hydrogen atom is replaced by a fluorine or chlorine atom, and includes bringing a treatment object containing a linear hydrocarbon containing a double bond, in which each hydrogen atom is replaced by a fluorine or chlorine atom, and alicyclic hydrocarbon containing a double bond, in which each hydrogen atom is replaced by a fluorine or chlorine atom, in contact with at least one amino compound selected from the group consisting of a heterocyclic aromatic amino compound and a tertiary amine represented by the formula: NR1R2R3, where each of R1, R2 and R3 independently represents an alkyl group, and two of R1, R2 and R3 may in combination represent an alkylene group, which is optionally interrupted by oxygen or sulphur.

EFFECT: simplicity of the method of selective separation of a linear compound in which each hydrogen atom is replaced by a fluorine atom or a chlorine atom by bringing it into contact with a specific amino compound.
