FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method for attaching a fabric sheath to a conventional communication cable. To achieve the effect, the device for inserting into the cable channel contains a cable and a fabric sheath extending in the longitudinal direction along the cable. The sheath is secured around the cable by means of complementary connectors that extend outside of the edges of the sheath. These connectors may be shaped to fit many configurations, including, but not limited to, hook and slot, ball and socket, hook and loop, and mechanical fastener prongs.
EFFECT: facilitated insertion of the fabric sheath into the cable channel and improved reliability of cable fastening.
