FIELD: organic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related specifically to production of an ester of monochloroacetic acid: oxybis-(methylene-1,3-dioxane-5,5-dimethylene)-bis-chloroacetate, which can be used in the synthesis of bioactive drugs. A method for producing an ester by interaction reaction of oxybis-(methylene-1,3-dioxan-5,5-diyl)-dimethanol (dipentaerythritol formal) with monochloroacetic acid chloride at a temperature of 30°C within 2 hours is disclosed. In this case, the reaction is carried out at the following ratio of components, wt.%: oxybis-(methylene-1,3-dioxan-5,5-diyl)-dimethanol:monochloroacetic acid chloride:benzene:pyridine=20:17:57:6.
EFFECT: increase of yield of ester up to 98%.
