SUBSTANCE: aqueous composition for phosphating metal surfaces, a method for phosphating metal surfaces and a method for manufacturing this composition. Acid aqueous composition for phosphating metal surfaces contains zinc ions, manganese ions, phosphate ions and at least one accelerating additive of the R1R2R3C-NO2 formula in which each of the substituents R1, R2 and R3 on carbon atom is independently selected from the group consisting of hydroxymethyl, 1-hydroxyethyl, 2-hydroxyethyl, 1-hydroxypropyl, 2-hydroxypropyl, 3-hydroxypropyl, 1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl and 2-hydroxy-1-methylethyl.
EFFECT: film adhesion and corrosion control results comparable to those obtained with phosphating using nitroguanidine as an accelerator.
