FIELD: measuring devices
SUBSTANCE: devices for measuring the friction coefficient of a metal-to-metal pair and can be used in the oil and gas industry. The device consists of a disk, a loading unit, a chamber filled with a flushing liquid, a torque sensor, a computer, a thyristor drive, an electric motor, a toothed belt drive, shaft bearings. The computer is configured to send a signal to the thyristor drive, which controls the electric motor and provides a given rotational speed through a toothed belt drive and a torque sensor, the rotation is transmitted to the pipe. The rotating pipe is placed in a chamber filled with washing liquid, and the disk is located inside the pipe with the possibility of pressing it against the inner surface. As a supply and adjustment of the load on the “disk-pipe” friction pair, a loading unit is used, designed to press the disk to the pipe and made in the form of a rope suspension, at the end of which there are loads of various masses. The torque sensor is configured to register the friction torque and transfer it to a computer.
EFFECT: possibility of measuring the friction coefficient of the metal-to-metal pair when the disk is inside the pipe (the “disk-pipe” friction pair), which makes it possible to conduct research under conditions of increased axial loads.
