FIELD: spectroscopic measurements.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a method for correcting changes in the amplitude of the output signal of a spectrometric device. The method includes exposing a sample in a sample holder to electromagnetic radiation with a plurality of wave numbers, determining absorption intensities of the electromagnetic radiation in the sample with multiple wave numbers, and providing the determined absorption intensities indexed by wave number as spectral data to a computer device. The amplitude of the output signal is corrected by applying a mathematical transformation (Icorr). Mathematical transformation (Icorr) is calculated by determining the difference (Δ(SBZ)/) between the first derivative of log-transformed spectral data (SBZ) for the sample of zero material in the first range (x1) of wave numbers and the first derivative of log-transformed spectral data (SBZ) for the sample of zero material in the second range (x2) of wave numbers and calculating the mathematical transformation (Icorr) as a function inversely dependent on a certain difference (Δ(SBZ)/).
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of measurements.
