FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: spectral pattern is selected from a recorded spectrum of components of atmospheric air inside a spectrometer and the wavelength-dependent position value for a characteristic such the centre of the said spectral pattern is determined. This value is compared to a standard value which may be obtained from a spectrum recorded in a control device and the calibration formula can be derived. Absorption peaks from carbon dioxide CO2 of about 2350 cm-1 are preferable for the selected spectral pattern.
EFFECT: invention enables simultaneous calibration and recording of the spectrum of the analysed sample.
