FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in heat and power, gas, aviation and other industries. The method of measuring volumetric flow with a jet converter (JC) is that the gas passing through the pipeline is passed through a constriction device (CD) and the JC connected to the CD in parallel, consisting of a jet amplifier closed by feedback, the output frequency signal of the JC is recorded and the volumetric flow is determined consumption according to the formula: Q = QCD +QJC = QCDmax *[1-[1-0.5*(f/fmax)2/(1-P2CR/P1)]2]0.5 +A JC*f, where f is the frequency of the JC output signal; fmax - frequency of the JC output signal at P2 = P1/2; P1 - absolute pressure at the inlet to the JC; P2 - absolute pressure at the outlet of the JC; QCD - volumetric flow rate of gas passing through the CD; QJC - volumetric flow rate of gas passing through the JC; QCDmax - maximum (critical) volumetric flow rate of gas passing through the CD, at an absolute pressure at the inlet equal to P1; P2CR - absolute pressure at the outlet of the control system at which the critical outflow from the control system is achieved (at the current P1). AJC is a proportionality coefficient that depends on the geometric parameters of the JC.
EFFECT: expansion of the range of flow measurement, with large pressure drops across the control system.
