FIELD: rubber composition.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a rubber composition for a tire, which is intended for use on the tread area of a pneumatic tire. A rubber composition for a tire is described, containing: 100 parts by weight of a rubber component containing at least 70 parts by weight of styrene-butadiene rubber and from 5 parts by weight to 30 parts by weight of butadiene rubber synthesized using a titanium catalyst, and a filler containing carbon black and silica, wherein the filler is mixed with a rubber component in a ratio of from 70 to 130 parts by weight of the total amount of carbon black and silica per 100 parts by weight of the rubber component. The silica contains two types of silica with different values of the specific surface area according to the BET method, and the ratio is A:B, where A is the amount in the mixture of silica with a specific surface area according to the BET method, the largest is 200 m2/g, and B is the amount in mixtures of silica with a BET specific surface area of at least 200 m2/g, from 99:1 to 55:45, and the difference between the BET specific surface areas of the two types of silicas is from 5 m2/g to 90 m2/g. A pneumatic tire is also described that contains the tire rubber composition on a tread portion.
EFFECT: provision of a rubber composition capable of providing excellent extrudability, as well as improving the characteristics of tires on wet surfaces and reducing rolling resistance.
