FIELD: membrane separation technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a hollow fiber membrane and a method for its manufacturing. Disclosed technology solves the problem of chemical destruction of hollow fiber membranes by creating a hollow fiber membrane containing a composition containing a polyvinyl chloride polymer and a thermoplastic polyurethane. It has been found that the use of thermoplastic polyurethane in the hollow fiber membrane provides flexibility and prevents degradation of the hollow fiber membrane. The hollow fiber membrane comprises hollow fibers extruded from a spinning solution containing from 10 to 40 wt.% of at least one vinyl chloride polymer having a chlorine content of from 63 to 72 wt.%; from 0.1 to 15 wt.% at least one thermoplastic polyurethane containing at least one polyisocyanate, at least one compound containing active hydrogen, and optionally a chain extender; at least one pore-forming agent; and at least one solvent.
EFFECT: invention provides a stable, chemically resistant and heat-resistant membrane.
