FIELD: water purification; water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the composition and method of producing a composite granular sorbent and can be used in the technology of purification of natural waters for domestic and drinking water supply, purification of lightly contaminated wastewater in filter facilities and industrial wastewater from heavy metal cations and radionuclides. A method for producing a composite granular sorbent based on calcium and magnesium aluminosilicates is presented, including preparing a mixture of components, granulating the mixture and its heat treatment, characterized by the fact that clay minerals are used as components: kaolinite or montmorillonite or hydromicas and mineral additives: dolomite and tripoli, taken in ratio, mass%: 90:5:5; granulation and heat treatment are carried out in solid-phase synthesis mode at a temperature of 950-1000°C, while in the granules a single aluminium-silicon-oxygen frame is formed with ion-exchange centres structurally associated with residual CO32- groups. In another embodiment, the composition of a composite granular sorbent is provided, containing the following components in terms of oxides, wt.%: silicon oxide 46–49; aluminium oxide 34–37; calcium oxide 4–7; magnesium oxide 3–6; carbon monoxide 2–5; iron oxide 0.5-1.5; potassium oxide 0.3-0.6; sodium oxide 0.1-0.3.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides deep complex purification of low-concentrated solutions from cations of heavy and non-ferrous metals and radionuclides, regulation of the acid-base balance of the objects being cleaned.
