FIELD: refractory industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the refractory industry, and in particular to the production of chromite-periclase materials intended for lining units for out-of-furnace steel processing and metallurgical units operating in high-temperature conditions in contact with an aggressive environment. Chromite-periclase refractory includes granular and dispersed periclase, two types of chromium ore with different content of iron oxides, while in granular chromium ore with a fraction of 0.8-1 mm, the content of Fe2O3 is not less than 26 wt.%, and in dispersed chromium ore fraction 0.1-0 mm Fe2O3 not more than 20 wt.%, and the Fe2O3/SiO2 ratio in the refractory does not exceed 28. These components are contained in the following ratio, wt.%: granular periclase 35-55, granular chromium ore 25-35, dispersed periclase 10-20, dispersed chromium ore 10-20.
EFFECT: chromite-periclase refractory is characterized by high resistance to slag and structural cracking under periodic temperature loading.
