METHOD OF DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF HEREDITARY NEUROPATHY WITH TENDENCY TO PARALYSIS FROM COMPRESSION AND CHRONIC INFLAMMATORY DEMYELINATING POLYRADICULONEUROPATHY Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B5/389 A61B5/397

Abstract RU 2805823 C1

FIELD: medicine; neurology; functional diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the differential diagnosis of hereditary neuropathy with a tendency to paralysis from compression and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy. An electroneuromyographic study of long peripheral nerves of the upper and lower extremities is performed. The patient's age is also assessed. If there is an age of onset of the disease 33 years or less, latencies of the dM response with m.ADM of 3.7 ms or less and with m.AH of 4.8 ms or less, values of SRVm along the motor fibers of the ulnar nerve at the level of the elbow joint 37.5 m/s or less, values of SRVs along the sensory fibers of the median nerve at the level of the hand of 48 m/s or less, the absence of BP along the median nerve at any site and the presence of BP along the ulnar nerve at the level of the elbow joint, hereditary neuropathy with a tendency to paralysis from compression is diagnosed. If the age of onset of the disease is more than 33 years, the values of latencies of the dM response with m.ADM are more than 3.7 ms and with m.AH more than 4.8 ms, the values of SRVm along the motor fibers of the ulnar nerve at the level of the elbow joint are more than 37.5 m/s, values of SRVs along the sensory fibers of the median nerve at the level of the hand are more than 48 m/s, in the presence of BP along the median nerve at any site and the absence of BP along the ulnar nerve at the level of the elbow joint, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides high reliability in differentiating hereditary neuropathy with a tendency to paralysis from compression and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy, availability, ease of execution, non-invasiveness and ease of interpretation of the results obtained in the process of establishing a diagnosis due to the assessment of a complex of the most significant indicators.
