FIELD: gasoline storage.
SUBSTANCE: studying the effect of an anti-corrosion coating applied to the internal walls of a tank on motor gasoline during long-term storage in tanks. To determine changes in the quality characteristics of motor gasoline when interacting with anti-corrosion coatings under storage conditions of up to 5 years, a sample of the tested motor gasoline is divided into five samples with a volume of no more than 1.0 dm3 each. The following physicochemical parameters are determined for the first sample: the concentration of resins washed with a solvent, chemical stability in terms of the fraction of absorbed oxygen, the volume fraction of benzene, acidity, optical density at a wavelength of 400 nm. The remaining samples of motor gasoline are placed in sealed containers made of inert material. Immerse in the second and third samples of steel plates with dimensions 150×70×4 mm, on which the test anti-corrosion coating with a protected edge is applied. The second, third, fourth and fifth samples are subjected to accelerated aging in a climate chamber at a temperature of 30°C. For anti-corrosion coatings of the normal type, the exposure is carried out in a climatic chamber for 1080 hours, the reinforced type - 1440 hours, the especially reinforced type - 1800 hours. Samples are removed after exposure in the climatic chamber and allowed to settle for 24 hours. The same physical and chemical parameters are determined for the second, third, fourth and fifth gasoline samples as for the first sample. The test results are assessed by comparing the differences in the average values of the indicated indicators after accelerated aging of the second and third samples and the values of the corresponding indicators of the first sample with the differences in the average values of the indicated indicators after accelerated aging of the fourth and fifth samples and the values of the corresponding indicators of the first sample. An anti-corrosion coating is considered to have not passed the test and is not suitable for use as an anti-corrosion coating for storage vehicles for motor gasoline for up to 5 years, if the change in at least one of the indicators after accelerated aging of the second and third samples is compared to the change in the same indicator after accelerated aging of the fourth and fifth samples exceed the following values for: concentration of solvent-washed resins - 4 mg/100 cm3 gasoline; volume fraction of benzene - 0.1%; acidity - 1.0 mg KOH/100 cm3 gasoline; optical density at a wavelength of 400 nm - 1.0 B; chemical stability in terms of the proportion of absorbed oxygen - 10% of the average change in the value of the indicator after accelerated aging of the fourth and fifth samples.
EFFECT: possibility to determine the effect of the anti-corrosion coating of storage facilities on motor gasoline under storage conditions.
