FIELD: metalworking equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to control the axial runout of spindles of metal-cutting machines, determine their technical condition and optimize the process of setting them up. A device for checking the axial runout of a metal-cutting machine spindle contains a bearing support mounted on the spindle, a double-acting hydraulic cylinder, which on one side is attached to the stationary part of the machine, and on the other side is connected to the bearing support using a rod, and an indicator with a measuring tip placed on stationary part of the machine. In this case, the measuring tip of the indicator is placed with the ability to interact with the surface of the bearing support.
EFFECT: improves the accuracy of measurements of axial runout of a metal-cutting machine spindle.
