FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: production of biodegradable polymer composites containing a solution of polyvinyl alcohol and filler from plant waste, used in the production of thermoformed packaging products and films capable of biodegradation. Biodegradable polymer composition for packaging purposes, including 5 wt.% aqueous solution of fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol and a vegetable filler, which is used as sunflower husks or beet pulp, or brewer's grains with a particle size of less than 200 microns and a moisture content of less than 5%. To prepare the composition use 5 wt.% aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol with a concentration of 20…50 g/100 ml.
EFFECT: obtaining film materials for packaging with high stress-related properties at a reduced cost due to the use of agro-industrial waste.
