FIELD: neurosurgery.
SUBSTANCE: used to predict speech disorders after neurosurgical interventions. Before surgical treatment, the state of speech is quantified. Corticocortical evoked potentials are recorded intraoperatively at least once. The resulting corticocortical evoked potentials are preprocessed. Signals with the largest signal oscillation amplitude are selected and used to form a feature space for feeding into the input of a predictive mathematical model. If the output value is 1, deterioration of speech functions after surgery is predicted. If the value is 0, an improvement in speech functions or equal to the assessment before surgery is predicted.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of predicting postoperative speech deficits and improving the functional outcomes of neurosurgical operations.
