FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: early rehabilitation period following a first suffered ischemic stroke includes estimating NIH-NINDS score of a degree of neurologic impairment. A level of trait anxiety is determined on the Spielberg-Khanin scale, and blood serum neutrophic factor (NGF) is measured. A rate of neurological disorder regression is calculated by formula with the use of the derived findings. The calculated value provides a basis to predict either high, or moderate probability of the favourable neurological functional recovery, or to predict the negative outcome of the post-stroke neurological functional recovery.
EFFECT: method enables predicting the degree of the recovery of disturbed functions after the first hemispheric ischemic stroke by using formula and determining clinical-laboratory findings.
