FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: non-truncated contact lens with rotation angle stabilization contains an optical zone configured to correct vision, and a peripheral zone surrounding the optical zone and configured to ensure rotation angle stability by optimizing the non-roundness component, the thickness difference component, and the rigidity profile component. The out-of-roundness component includes a first effective dimension formed by the diameter of an inscribed circle within a peripheral zone of the contact lens having a first center, and a second effective dimension defined by the diameter of an inscribed circle around a peripheral zone of the contact lens having a second center. The thickness component of the differences is determined by the difference between the maximum thickness and the minimum thickness. The stiffness profile component is defined as the effective area under the thickness profile curve obtained by multiplying the square of the lens thickness taken along the lens meridian at various radial positions by the modulus of elasticity of the lens material.
EFFECT: technical result is to improve the stability of the rotation angle and remove or prevent the appearance of bubbles trapped behind the lenses.
