FIELD: road construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to strengthen the base layers of road pavement. The objective is achieved by the fact that in the method of increasing the crack resistance of a road surface, including installation of a prepared and planned drainage base made of sand or crushed stone material, laying the top layer of the base and the bottom layer of the coating, according to the invention, a crack-interrupting protective layer 5 cm thick of sand is arranged on the top layer of the base, reinforced with cement, on which volumetric geocells with a cell height of up to 7 cm are laid, while the cells are filled with a cold asphalt concrete mixture, and the top layer of the coating is made of a polymer-asphalt concrete mixture.
EFFECT: improved cracking resistance of the road surface.
