SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for inserting an intraocular lens into the eye. An exemplary opto-haptic control system may include the first cam assembly comprising the first cam body, a hole in the first cam body, and haptic element folding tabs located in the hole. The opto-haptic control system may further comprise the second cam assembly located on one side of the first cam assembly, wherein the second cam assembly comprises the second cam body, an opening in the second cam body, and optical element folding elements located in the hole. The opto-haptic control system may further comprise a central plate for retaining the intraocular lens in the hole of the second cam body, the central plate being disposed between the first cam assembly and the second cam assembly.
