FIELD: chemical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrolyte-plasma processing of turbomachine blades for the purpose of polishing and removing metal coatings. The method involves immersing a blade in a bath of electrolyte, forming a vapor-gas shell around the surface of the blade to be treated, and igniting a discharge between the blade and the electrolyte by applying a positive electric potential to the blade and a negative electric potential to the electrolyte. In this case, a metal frame is used with a groove made to shield the areas of the blade mating with it, and before immersing the blade in the electrolyte, a frame is put on its blade, shielding its inlet and outlet edges from the back and trough of the blade, as well as the upper end of the blade blades, whereas the frame covers the inlet and outlet edges, as well as the end edge of the blade feather, shielding them with a gap that gradually expands from 0.1 mm to 5 mm from the edges of the blade feather, when shielding the edges of the blade feather by an amount from 2 to 4 mm from them edges and ensuring contact between the edges and the frame.
