FIELD: mineral processing.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention is related to extraction of non-ferrous and precious metal minerals from tin ore processing tailings, and can be used in the flotation separation of copper, as well as gold-containing minerals at technogenic sites (deposits) from tin ore processing tailings. The method of flotation extraction of copper from stale tailings of tin ore enrichment includes grinding of stale tailings, collective sulphide flotation in presence of a collector reagent - xanthate and a foaming agent - methyl isobutylcarbinol to obtain a concentrate and tailings. Grinding of stale tailings is carried out to a size class of 80% minus 0.105 mm in a ball mill in a closed cycle with verification classification in hydrocyclones in order to remove the oxidized film from the surface of copper minerals. Before grinding, disintegration is carried out to remove conglomerates and debris from the flotation feed. The collective sulphide flotation concentrate is a rough sulphide concentrate, which is sent for additional grinding in a lime environment, in a vertical mill to a particle size class of 80% minus 0.025 mm and then for copper flotation at pH = 12 in the presence of xanthate in an amount of 2.5-5 g/t and methylisobutylcarbinol in an amount of 2 g/t to obtain a standard copper concentrate.

EFFECT: increase of efficiency of the flotation process of stale tin ore enrichment tailings by increasing copper extraction and obtaining quality copper concentrate.
