FIELD: measurements.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to photoluminescent analysis methods for determining the content of uncontrolled impurities and monitoring their surface distribution in oxide materials. A method for determining uncontrolled impurities and the heterogeneity of their surface distribution includes the addition of europium oxide in an amount of no more than 0.1 mol.%. into the composition of an oxide material sample during the synthesis process, registration of luminescence spectra upon excitation by laser radiation from various parts of the sample during confocal scanning of a selected area, analysis of the relative intensity of luminescence lines of impurity ions and europium ions in different areas of the surface of the material in accordance with surface images obtained by the confocal method microscopy.
EFFECT: control of the surface distribution of uncontrolled impurities in oxide materials.
