FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry and can be used in printing products. Magnetic luminescent pigment based on strontium aluminoferrate, cobalt, each particle of which has both magnetic properties and Stokes fluorescence in the spectral range of 450–750 nm, occurring under the action of exciting radiation lying in the spectral range of wavelengths of 360–1,360 nm. Chemical composition of pigment corresponds to the following empirical formula: (Sr1-X-Y-M CoXEuYMgM)(Al1-ZFeZ)2O4, where: 0.2≤X≤0.8, 0.0001≤Y≤0.10, 0≤M≤0.3, 0.2≤Z≤0.8. Method of obtaining a magnetic luminescent pigment involves mixing components of a mixture containing oxides of aluminum, iron, cobalt, magnesium, strontium carbonate, aqueous solutions of boric acid and europium chloride. After that, the mixture is homogenized, dried at temperature of 120–240 °C to the state of dusting and calcining at temperature of 1,150–1,350 °C for 4–12 hours.
EFFECT: obtaining a pigment, in each particle of which magnetic and luminescent properties are combined, which enables to introduce into circulation new complex machine-readable and visualized protective labels and methods of determining said pigments.
