SUBSTANCE: invention is a method of assessing and selecting dairy cattle for stress resistance based on polymorphism of the heat shock protein gene HSP including DNA extraction from the blood with further genotyping of cows using polymerase chain reaction; animals with the genotype “AA” are classified as a high type of stress resistance, animals with the genotype “AB” are classified as a medium type of stress resistance, animals with the genotype “BB” are classified as a low type of stress resistance, cows of high and medium type are selected.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the accuracy of assessment and selection of dairy cattle for stress resistance by using marker selection.
