SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology and represents a method for determining the genetic potential of milk production of meat heifers of beef cattle, including selection of whole blood in heifers aged at least 3 months, DNA extraction with genotype determination by PCR method separately by hormone thyroglobulin TG5 and growth hormone bGH, and then conjugated genotypes by both genes, and if TG5TT genotype is detected or bGHLLTG5TT calf is referred to animals with high genetic potential of milk productivity and selected for further reproduction.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to identify animals with the highest genetic potential of milk productivity.
