FIELD: image encoding and decoding.
SUBSTANCE: residual samples for the current block, transform coefficients, and quantized transform coefficients are extracted. Residual information, reconstructed samples, information associated with adaptive loop filtering (ALF), and information associated with cross-component ALF (CCALF) are generated. The ALF filter coefficients for the ALF process of the reconstructed chroma samples are extracted. Filtered reconstructed samples of chrominance signals are generated based on the reconstructed samples of chrominance signals and the coefficients of the ALF filter. The coefficients of the cross-component filter are extracted. Modified filtered reconstructed samples of chrominance signals are generated based on the reconstructed samples of luminance signals, filtered reconstructed samples of chrominance signals and cross-component filter coefficients. The image information includes a sequence parameter set (SPS) including an ALF activation flag, and slice header information.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of encoding.
