SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of vitamin D therapy for chronic kidney disease in a person with diabetes mellitus. A blood test is performed to determine the level of interleukin-6, interleukin-8 and homocysteine. Additionally, a blood test is carried out to determine the level of 25 (OH) D, creatine, urea, glucose, total protein and the glomerular filtration rate is calculated using the CKD-EPI formula. The effectiveness of therapy after six and twelve months in a comparative analysis relative to the initial level of indicators before the start of therapy is determined by the following: an increase in the blood level of 25 (OH) D, total protein; decrease in blood creatinine, urea, glucose, interleukin-6, interleukin-8, homocysteine; increase in the glomerular filtration rate.

EFFECT: method provides the ability to accurately and relatively quickly determine the level of vitamin D and its effect on the development of chronic kidney disease in a person with diabetes by determining the level of 25 (OH) D, creatine, urea, glucose, total protein, interleukin-6, interleukin in the blood -8, homocysteine and glomerular filtration rate calculation using the CKD-EPI formula at the beginning of the study, then after six and twelve months of follow-up.
