FIELD: railway equipment.

SUBSTANCE: means for measuring the force of pressing a rail fastening terminal onto a rail during installation and operation. The meter contains a housing, a gripping unit and a force meter, with one end of the housing covering the rail head on both sides and pivotally connected to the first end of the power lever. The meter also contains a signaling device connected to a threaded element mounted on the power lever. In this case, the second end of the housing in the lower zone is connected to the heel, with the possibility of ensuring its installation on a sleeper or the head of another rail, and in the upper zone it is connected to a spring block. As a force meter, a force ruler is installed on the body, the division with zero reading of which in the initial state coincides with the pointer on the spring block. Moreover, the scale of the force ruler is made with markings showing the force value at the point of contact of the terminal with the rail.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of measuring the force of pressing the rail fastening terminal to the rail.
