SUBSTANCE: preliminary treatment of periodontal pockets is carried out using an ultrasonic tip and antiseptic treatment using a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. Then the hypertrophied area of the gum is excised. The operation is carried out using a two-wave diode laser with the following laser radiation parameters: wavelength 765 nm in continuous radiation and wavelength 1265 nm in nanosecond pulsed radiation, with a pulse length of 200 ns and a pause length of 100 ns, power 2 W, fibre diameter 600 mcm, average speed of movement of the laser tip is 5 mm/s. The operation is carried out at the base of the hypertrophic growth by contact method. After the procedure, the wound is covered with a periodontal bandage.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of treatment of hypertrophic gingivitis in pregnant women, accelerate regeneration after the intervention, reduce the level of pain, and enhance the targeted effect of pigment-free laser photoablation on the local immune status in the oral cavity.
