SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for treating inflammatory diseases of periodontal tissues and oral cavity. A photosensitizer based on curcumin in liposomes in amount of 0.1 ml per 1 cm² is applied to the inflammation centers, its exposure is 30 minutes, after which the gel is washed off with distilled water. That is followed by photodynamic therapy with the help of a laser radiation source with wavelength of 445 nm; the exposure duration is 10 minutes.

EFFECT: method enables to initiate inflammation regression due to the combination of the action of the active components of the gel and the photodynamic therapy on the soft tissues of the oral cavity.
