SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for treatment of inflammatory diseases of the terminal part of the large intestine. Patients are given basic therapy with 5-aminosalicylic acid preparations. Additionally, rectal administration of the drug "Urolife" is carried out, heated to 35-37°C, into the rectum, 50 ml 1 time per day, every other day before bedtime for a course of 30 procedures. A study of faecal calprotectin is carried out before the start of treatment, 30 and 60 days after the start of administration of the drug "Urolife", and if the level of faecal calprotectin decreases to less than 50 mcg/g, the administration of the drug "Urolife" is stopped.

EFFECT: method allows to reduce the healing time of erosions and ulcers of the rectal and sigmoid colon mucosa, reduce the number of cases of relapses after treatment, and also reduce the frequency of complications of the underlying disease by creating favourable conditions for the regeneration of damaged tissue and relieving purulent-inflammatory manifestations.
