FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to medicine, namely to gastroenterology, and can be used in clinical laboratory practice to predict the effectiveness of the therapy of ulcerative colitis (UC). In patients with ulcerative colitis, a stool sample is analysed, a colonic microbiome is analysed by 16S-sequencing. Relative representation of bacteria of the following genera is determined: Enterococcus, Streptococcus, NK4A214_group, Pelomonas, Actinomyces and calculating the probability of onset of remission during the therapy P by formula. If the P value is 39.29% and more, the effectiveness of the conservative therapy and the achievement of remission in the patient with ulcerative colitis is predicted.
EFFECT: invention provides reduced traumatism of the method, higher accuracy and specificity of prediction.
