FIELD: metal coating.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing coatings on metals using the energy of explosives. A method for producing a heat-resistant coating on the surfaces of a copper plate includes making a package of metal plates, placing a protective layer with an explosive charge over it, performing explosion welding, rolling the welded plates and heat treatment. A three-layer package is made of cladding nichrome plates 0.8-1 mm thick and a clad copper plate 4-8 mm thick, protective layers with identical explosive charges are placed on the surfaces of the cladding plates and explosion welding of the resulting assembly is carried out at a detonation speed of the explosive charges of 1900-2930 m/s, while the material and thickness of the protective layers on the surfaces of the clad nichrome plates, as well as the welding gaps between the welded layers are selected from the condition of obtaining the collision speed of the nichrome plates with the clad copper plate in the range of 320-430 m/s. Cold rolling of the resulting three-layer workpieces is carried out to ensure that the nichrome layers are compressed to a thickness of 0.4-0.5 mm, after which the nichrome layers of the rolled three-layer workpiece are aluminized in molten aluminum at a temperature of 720-760°C for 1.2-6 minutes. Then the resulting workpiece is heat treated at a temperature of 850-900°C for 15-20 hours with the formation of a continuous heat-resistant coating on the surfaces of the copper plate.
EFFECT: obtaining a coating with increased heat resistance in oxidizing gas environments and increased resistance to brittle fracture under thermal cycling and dynamic loads, capable of long-term resistance to gas corrosion even in the event of damage to the outer layer of the coating.
